# Make a hub memo that links a project together

When a project spreads across lots of memos, ask your AI to write one hub memo that links to them, with a line on why each one matters. People get one link to start from instead of hunting through a list, and your AI gets the same way in. Give it the hub's link and it can read the hub, then open the memos it links to as it needs them.

A hub memo is cheap to make, so you don't have to get it right or keep it forever. Make one for a project, a person or a purpose, and keep it, pin it or bin it as the work moves on.

## What a good hub memo has

- One or two lines on what the project is for.

- Links to the memos that matter, grouped under a few headings, each with one line of context.

- What's open or next, as a task list if you like.

- Who to ask about what.

A hub can also be for one person, such as a list of memos a colleague needs to review, with a checklist they can tick off. See [Format a memo with headings, tables, images and more](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/g0wr3sp5y1/format-a-memo-with-headings-tables.md) for links and task lists.

## Put it where people will find it

- File it in the project's collection and pin it, so it stays at the top. See [Organise memos into collections](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/saoun9xu7f/organise-memos-into-collections.md).

- Or keep it out of the collection if you don't want it adding to the list. A memo can be in several collections, or none.

- Share the hub's link with anyone who needs the overview. They still only open the memos they have access to. See [Share a memo with a link or with people](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/tl52qpf3a2/share-a-memo-with-a-link.md).

## Ask your AI to build it

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, show me my collections and ask which project to make a hub memo for. Read its memos, then draft a hub memo that says what the project is for and links to each memo that matters under a few headings, with one line on why each one matters. Show me the draft, and once I agree, save it and ask me whether to file it in the collection and pin it.
```

## Keep it current

Hubs drift as new memos arrive. Ask your AI to check one now and then:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, I'll give you a hub memo's link. Check it against the memos it covers, list any new memos it's missing and any links that no longer belong, and update it only once I agree.
```

Every change lands in the memo's history, so you can see what changed and restore an earlier version. See [See and restore earlier versions of a memo](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/pncsjucznc/see-and-restore-earlier-versions.md).
