# Connect Claude to Fieldwerk

A few minutes of setup and Claude can save, find, edit and share memos for you, in your account with your access. Fieldwerk is listed in Claude's connector directory, so the quickest way is to add it from there, then sign in and approve it once.

## Add Fieldwerk from Claude's connector directory

This works in Claude on the web and in the Claude Desktop app.

1. Open Claude's connectors: go to [claude.ai/customize/connectors](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors), or in a chat click **+**, then **Connectors**, then **Manage connectors**.

2. Search for **Fieldwerk**. It's listed as a Community connector.

3. Open it and click **Connect**.

4. Sign in to Fieldwerk and approve the connection (below).

Connectors you add also appear in the Claude Desktop and mobile apps signed in to the same Claude account.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organisation adds Fieldwerk once under **Organization settings**, **Connectors**. Each person then connects their own Fieldwerk account. If you can't add it yourself, ask your Claude owner.

## Or add it by its address

If you'd rather add it by hand, or the directory isn't available to you, add a custom connector with this address:

```
https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcp
```

### Claude on the web (claude.ai)

1. Go to [claude.ai/customize/connectors](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors).

2. Click **Add custom connector**.

3. Name it Fieldwerk and paste `https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcp`.

4. Add it, then click **Connect** and sign in to Fieldwerk.

5. Approve the connection (below).

### Claude Desktop

1. Open Claude's settings and choose **Connectors**.

2. Click **Add custom connector** and paste `https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcp`.

3. Connect, sign in to Fieldwerk and approve the connection (below).

## Claude Code

Run this in your terminal:

```
claude mcp add --transport http fieldwerk https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcp
```

Then type `/mcp` in Claude Code to check it's connected and to sign in.

To keep one project working in one workspace, use the workspace's address instead: `https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcp/<workspace-handle>`. You must already be a member of that workspace.

## Approve the connection

The first time Claude needs your account, Fieldwerk opens a page headed **Connect Claude to Fieldwerk**. It says what Claude will be able to do (read, create and edit your memos and collections; share, comment and organise on your behalf) and shows which account it will use under **Connecting as**. Switch accounts there if it's the wrong one, then click **Approve & connect**.

One connection acts as one signed-in account. To work as a different account, revoke the connection and approve it again as that account.

## Check it works

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, tell me which workspace I'm in and list my memos.
```

If Claude asks you to sign in, follow the link and approve. Without signing in, Claude can only read memos whose link you give it.

## Disconnect Claude

Open **Personal settings**, go to **Connections** and click **Revoke** beside it. See [Manage connected assistants](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/llsyyuio9f/what-ai-assistants-can-do.md#manage-connected-assistants).
