> Seven prompts, one a day, that hand your filing, summarising and comment round-trips to your AI, each with what you'll have afterwards.

# Your first week with your AI assistant

By the end of a week your AI should be doing the filing, the summarising and the comment round-trips you used to do by hand. Try one of these prompts a day. Paste them as they are, and your AI asks which collection or memo you mean. Each one says what you'll have afterwards.

## Day 1: save a conversation as a memo

At the end of a useful chat, keep it:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, save a summary of this conversation as a memo and set its status to Draft. Show me my collections and ask which one to file it in.
```

You get a new memo, filed in the collection with its status set, and a link to it. The useful parts of the chat now live where your team can find them.

## Day 2: add to a memo you already have

Add new material without opening the memo:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, add the decisions we just agreed to one of my memos under a Decisions heading. Ask me which memo, then find it.
```

Your AI searches your memos, then edits only that section. The memo's history shows the change, so you can see what it did and undo it.

## Day 3: make a board

See a collection's memos as cards by status:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, show me my collections and ask which one, then suggest a board view for it grouped by status and save it once I agree. If it has no status property yet, suggest one and add it once I agree.
```

You get a new tab on the collection that everyone with access sees.

## Day 4: write the collection's instructions

Tell every AI that works in a collection how it should be used:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, show me my collections and ask which one, then draft standing instructions for it so every meeting note has the same shape, with the date and topic in the title, then attendees, decisions and action items. If it already has instructions, keep them and add to them. Show me the draft before you save it.
```

From then on any AI working in that collection reads those instructions before it writes there, so the next meeting note follows the same shape. See [Give a collection standing instructions](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/wn60xwy68v/give-a-collection-standing-instructions.md).

## Day 5: pull memos together

Turn several memos into one:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, show me my collections and ask which one, then read the memos added or changed there this week and draft a status update from them as a new memo.
```

You get one new memo written from everything it read. Edit it yourself, or ask for changes.

## Day 6: work through comments

Act on your reviewers' feedback:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, ask me which memo to work on. Read its comments and list the change each one asks for. Make only the changes I agree to, and reply in each of those threads saying what changed.
```

The changes you agreed to are made and those threads have a reply, so reviewers can see what happened without a meeting.

## Day 7: build a chart from your data

Chart the data files in a notebook:

```prompt
In Fieldwerk, show me my notebooks and the data files in each, and ask which files to chart. Then build a chart that reads them and add it to that notebook.
```

You get an HTML file in that notebook, a small page that reads those files. Someone who can edit the notebook allows it to read them once, then the chart updates whenever the files do. See [Build an artifact that shows your data](https://help.fieldwerk.ai/b2us0x6yyp/build-an-artifact-that-shows.md).

## When you're not sure what to ask

```prompt
Help me get started with Fieldwerk.
```

Your AI asks Fieldwerk for guidance that fits where you are and suggests a next step.
