Delete your account or workspace

Leaving is self-serve and complete: delete your account from Personal settings, under Account, and your identity, sessions, settings and connected apps go straight away. First you hand over, archive or trash each workspace you own, and leave each one you belong to, so nobody's work disappears with you. A workspace's owner deletes it from Workspace settings, Manage, and has 30 days to change their mind.

Delete a workspace

  1. Open Workspace settings and go to Manage.

  2. Click Delete workspace.

  3. Type the workspace's name to confirm.

The workspace disappears for everyone straight away. It's permanently deleted, with all its memos, collections, files and members, 30 days later. To get it back before then, email team@fieldwerk.ai.

If you'd rather keep everything but put the workspace away, use Archive workspace instead. An archived workspace can be restored on request.

Only the owner can archive or delete a workspace.

Delete your account

  1. Open Personal settings and go to Account.

  2. Click Delete account.

  3. Deal with anything listed under Workspaces you own (make someone else the owner, archive, or move each one to trash) and Workspaces you belong to (leave each one).

  4. If you like, tell us Why are you leaving?

  5. Type your email address and click Delete my account.

Your account, sessions, settings and connected apps are deleted straight away. This can't be undone. Content in workspaces you moved to trash is deleted when each workspace is, up to 30 days later.

If you still want the memos, make someone else the owner of the workspace before you go rather than trashing it.

What Fieldwerk keeps

Some records are kept after deletion, as the law and security require:

  • Security audit records, for up to 13 months.

  • Billing records, for 7 years.

  • Backups, which roll off within about five weeks. They aren't used to bring back deleted content.

Deleting a single memo
