Your first week with your AI assistant
By the end of a week your assistant should be doing the filing, the summarising and the comment round-trips you used to do by hand. Try one of these prompts a day, swapping in your own collection and memo names. Each one says what you'll have afterwards.

Day 1: save a conversation as a memo
At the end of a useful chat, keep it:
In Fieldwerk, save a summary of this conversation as a memo in my client collection and set its status to Draft. You get a new memo, filed in the collection with its status set, and a link to it. The useful parts of the chat now live where your team can find them.
Day 2: add to a memo you already have
Add new material without opening the memo:
In Fieldwerk, find my kickoff memo for this client and add the decisions we just agreed under a Decisions heading. The assistant searches your memos, then edits only that section. The memo's history shows the change, so you can see what it did and undo it.
Day 3: make a board
See a collection's memos as cards by status:
In Fieldwerk, add a board view to my client collection, grouped by status. You get a new tab on the collection that everyone with access sees. If the collection has no status property yet, ask the assistant to define one first.
Day 4: write the collection's instructions
Tell every assistant how a collection should be used:
In Fieldwerk, write standing instructions for my client collection so every meeting note has the same shape: date and client in the title, then attendees, decisions and action items. From then on any assistant working in that collection reads those instructions before it writes there, so the next note follows the same shape. See Give a collection standing instructions.
Day 5: pull memos together
Turn several memos into one:
In Fieldwerk, read this week's meeting notes in my client collection and draft a status update for the client as a new memo. You get one new memo written from everything it read. Edit it yourself, or ask for changes.
Day 6: work through comments
Act on your reviewers' feedback:
In Fieldwerk, read the comments on my proposal memo, make the changes people asked for, and reply in each thread saying what changed. The memo is edited and every thread has a reply, so reviewers can see what happened without a meeting.
Day 7: build a chart from your data
Chart the data files in a notebook:
In Fieldwerk, build a chart in my project notebook that reads hours.csv and budget.csv and shows hours against budget. You get an artifact in a memo: a small HTML page that reads those files. Someone who can edit the notebook allows it to read them once, then the chart updates whenever the files do. See Build an artifact that shows your data.
When you're not sure what to ask
The assistant asks Fieldwerk for guidance that fits where you are and suggests a next step.
