Run a structured team trial

If you're introducing Fieldwerk to your team, run it as a trial around one real piece of work. Share something genuinely useful first, give each person a few small things to try with their own AI, and agree on a date to look back together. Calling it a trial gives everyone room to experiment without anyone having to commit, and real work shows the value better than any explanation.

Before you start

Use Fieldwerk on your own work for a while first, so you have something worth sharing and know how it feels. Get started with Fieldwerk covers the basics.

Set up the trial

  1. Pick one piece of work the team cares about. Something live, with a few people involved, works better than a test project.

  2. Choose how people will join. You can share single memos from any plan, and people who aren't in your workspace join as guests. A shared team workspace is on Pro, which starts with a free trial. See How member types work and Choose a plan and manage billing.

  3. Make a collection for the work and give it standing instructions, so everyone's AI files things the same way. See Organise memos into collections and Give a collection standing instructions.

  4. Share something useful first. A memo link opens for anyone you send it to, without signing in, if you turn the link on. See Share a memo with a link or with people and Share a collection with your team.

  5. Set an end date that suits your team.

Give people small things to try

  • Hand a shared memo's link to their own AI and ask it questions.

  • Comment on a memo, and mention a teammate. See Comment on a memo and mention people.

  • Save one useful thing from their own chat into the shared collection.

  • Run a prompt someone else saved, from their own chat.

Your first week with your AI assistant has more ideas, and each person connects their own AI with Connect Claude to Fieldwerk or Connect ChatGPT to Fieldwerk.

Expect mixed reactions. Some people dive in, others take longer, and that's normal. Keep sharing useful things and let the work make the case.

Plan the trial with your AI

Try this with your AI assistant
In Fieldwerk, help me plan a team trial. Ask me what work my team does and what we'd use Fieldwerk for, then draft a trial plan as a memo with the piece of work to start on, a few small things for each person to try, and how we'll decide at the end. Show me the draft before you save it, and don't share it with anyone.

Choose what to share first

Try this with your AI assistant
In Fieldwerk, show me my collections and ask which one my team trial is using. Suggest three memos from it that would be most useful to share first, and say why. Tell me who can see each one now, and check with me before you share anything.
