Find memos with search
Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows), or click Search in the sidebar, and start typing. It finds memos, collections, notebooks and files you can open, and the same box jumps to pages and runs commands, so you can get anywhere without touching the sidebar. The point of keeping knowledge in Fieldwerk is that you, your team and your AI can all find it again; this is how you do it.
Search for something
Press Cmd+K.
Type a few words. Memos match on their title; collections, notebooks and files match on their name. Before you type, the box shows your recent memos.
Use the arrow keys to pick a result and press Enter to open it.
Search only shows things you have access to. Archived memos still appear, shown dimmed, so nothing you've archived is lost.
To search inside memos, use the search box at the top of My memos. It searches the full text of the memos you own, titles first, and includes archived ones.
Run a command
The same box runs commands. Type the name or pick from the list:
New memo and New collection
Personal settings and Workspace settings
My memos, All collections, Shared with me and Trash
Connections, for the AI tools connected to your account
Switch to another workspace you belong to
Browse instead
My memos lists memos you created, with archived ones under Archived at the bottom.
Shared with me lists memos other people have shared with you directly, including from workspaces you're a guest in.
All collections lists every collection you can open in the workspace.
Have your AI do it
Once your AI is connected (see Connect Claude to Fieldwerk or Connect ChatGPT to Fieldwerk), it searches the same memos you can read, and can go further by searching properties across a whole workspace:
In Fieldwerk, ask me what topic I'm after, then find my memos about it and tell me where things stand. In Fieldwerk, find everything across my workspace that's assigned to me and tell me what's due this week. If my collections don't track an owner or a due date yet, say so and explain how to add them.Or start each day with a check-in:
In Fieldwerk, what's waiting on me, and what changed in my workspace since yesterday?
