Connect other AI tools to Fieldwerk
Your coding agent or AI editor can read the brief from a memo, write what it finds back into memos and file them, without you copying anything across. Fieldwerk works with any AI tool that supports MCP, the standard way AI tools connect to other apps. Add a connector with this address, then approve it in Fieldwerk the first time it asks:
https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcpStep-by-step setup for each tool is at fieldwerk.ai/connect, and in Fieldwerk under Personal settings, Connections, on the MCP tab. For Claude and ChatGPT, see Connect Claude to Fieldwerk and Connect ChatGPT to Fieldwerk.
Codex
Run:
codex mcp add fieldwerk --url https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcpIf Codex says it can't connect, add this to ~/.codex/config.toml and try again:
[features]
experimental_use_rmcp_client = trueCursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed and v0
The connect page has a one-click Add Fieldwerk to Cursor button, and steps or a config snippet for each of the others.
Tools that can't add a web address
Some tools only run connectors on your own computer. For those, use the mcp-remote bridge, which needs Node.js. Give the tool this as the command to run:
npx -y mcp-remote https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcpApprove, check and disconnect
The first time the tool needs your account, Fieldwerk opens an approval page; approving it is the same for every AI tool, described in Connect Claude to Fieldwerk. Then ask the tool to list your Fieldwerk memos. To disconnect it later, see Manage connected assistants.
Keep a project in one workspace
If you belong to several workspaces, add the workspace's handle to the address, for example https://mcp.fieldwerk.ai/mcp/acme. Everything the tool does then happens in that workspace. You must already be a member of it. In a coding agent this lets each project carry its own connection to the right client workspace.
